Tiny bit more of A Home Far Away
“Hannah where are you?” my mother called.
“I am right here.” I said answering from my room.
“Come down here, you have a visitor.” She yelled happily. I quickly got ready and brushed my hair. I ran down the stairs to my visitor.
I was surprised to see that is was not Andrew or Bailee. It was someone new.
“Hey, um…so your Hannah right?” he said with a twinkle in his eye.
“Ya, and you are?” I said back.
“I’m Conner.” He said sweetly.
Ok this guy is not so bad. He looked good, talked good, can’t read minds. It’s perfect!
“So, I was wondering if you wanted to go to the movies with a couple of my friends.”
“just a sec.” I said. I ran to my mother’s room. It was a rule of my mothers. Ask before anything! I’m 17, and I still have to ask! Crazy.
“Mom can I please go to the movies with…Conner and his friends?”
“This is good! Now you’re going to have all of these new friends, and you’re going to have a blast! Sure you can go!”
I shot out of my mother’s room and back to Conner.
“Sure I can go…Is Andrew your friend?” I asked hopefully. Even though he kept secrets and all of that, I still really did like him.
Conner looked at me for a sec then said.
“Andrew, he kinda keeps to himself. He’s not really my friend.” I looked down at the ground.
“But I have a lot of other friends.” He said happily.
