Books!

A Home Far Away
this is one of my stories. For some reason it scruntched up the beggining so......its a little hard to understand. And it did not put italics in for what she is thinking sorry.

chap. 1

the light flashed green; it was my turn to go. The dark streets were lit only by the cars’ head lights. I started the car across the cross. When all of the sudden there was a big light and a car hit me. I went black, after a minute I awoke. I saw the medic talking to my parents.
"It would take a miracle to save her life now." The medic was saying.
"How long does she have left?" My father sobbed.
"Maybe...a minute?" The medic said without a tone in his voice.
"But who is that? Coming out of the fog?"

*** "Please mom, don’t make me!"I yelled.
"Don’t make me! It’s not fair!"
"Hannah, don’t make this harder than it is. Everyone else in the family is fine with us moving." my dad said slowly. There are five of us in the family. There was my mom Anna Mayfield, my dad George Deen, my older brother James, and my younger sister Bell. My brother was 19 and I was 17 and my little sister was 13.
Our new house was fairly large. It was a nice home but not something I would commit myself to! Maybe I can run away back to New York and-- I thought. But I was interrupted by my mother.
"Why don’t you choose your room first dear?" my mother said in a soft tone.
We moved from New York to California. Big difference. The air was so dry; I already had two nose bleeds.
"Any room?" I said knowing that I could not.
"Well the master bedroom is me and your father’s room, dear." it was always dear with my mother. Dear this dear that! It got annoying!
"Fine." I walked into the house. It smelled old and new at the same time.
"GROSS!" "What is the matter dear?" "oh nothing, except if you want to count the dead mouse lying on the ground and the fact that I have been forced to move! Nothing is wrong." I said with my arms crossed, trying to force back my tears.
"Bell, dear, where are you? Don’t come in yet." Called my mother. Bell was deathly afraid of mice or rodents. And if she saw one dead I think she would die.
"Why? I want to come in!" she yelled form the car.
"Bell listen to your mother!" my father finally said. My father grabbed the shovel and picked up the mouse. He threw it in the trash and took the trash outside. Great introduction to my new home! I thought.

**** I quickly picked my room. It was fairly large and had 5 tiny little stairs that led up to the closet. I already unpacked my things so there was nothing to do. Thank goodness it is summer! I thought. I would not live to see another day if it was at school. I sat down at my desk, which was facing the window, I looked out side. It was dark now. Only a little bit of light from the street lights. "What’s that?" I said out loud. There was something moving in the shadows. It was following a cat....it was too big to be a dog. It was a person...but tiredness took over me and I fell asleep. CHAPTER 2

The neighbors came pilling in! They were sure friendly here. In New York if you made a sound your neighbors would call the police on you. Here they are greeting us.

Creepy, I thought.

“Honey! Why don’t you come down here! People are just dying to meet you!”

I almost shouted “well let them die!” and slam my door but that would be going too far.

I went slowly down the stairs. Maybe if I take a long time they would just leave.

“Hello,” said a sweet little voice. “I’m, Bailee. And you are?”

I looked her down. She was wearing old fashion clothes. They seemed to work for her. She had her hair down with a hair band. She had blue eyes and brown hair. Lucky, I thought, not many people get brown hair and blue eyes. It is the prettiest thing ever! Well at least to me.

“I am um...I can’t think…” this is the weirdest feeling I have ever had. Why can’t I think? What’s my name?!

Just as I thought these words a boy appeared.

“Hey, your name is Hannah right?”

I looked at him more closely. He had dark brown hair almost black with dark brown eyes. He was wearing a black leather jacket. He was pretty cute.

“Ya, how did you know?” I questioned him. I have never seen this gorgeous babe. So I couldn’t have told him my name.

“If I told you it was a lucky guess would you believe me?” he said with a smile.

“That would be creepy, so in other words…no I would not.”

“Well that tells a lot about a person. What if I said, my mom told me? Would you believe me than?”

“What do you mean it tells a lot about a person? And I suppose I would believe you.”

“Ok then we will go with that.” He said with a little smile as if he knew I was really confused.

“What? You mean that is not the reason?” I am so confused! This guy, I can’t even get my thoughts together when I am around him!

“Hey Andrew.” Said Bailee.

“Do you guys know each other?”

“Sadly, yes. She is my sister.” He said jokingly without even taking in eye off me.

“Oh cool.”

Bailee was eyeing Andrew suspiciously.

I finally broke the silence.

“So, how long have you guys lived here?”

“Oh, we move a lot. We have only lived here maybe what?” he said looking at his sister for some help, “maybe like a year, at the most?” he said finally coming to a decision.

“Oh, that’s nice.” I had no idea what to say. This beautiful boy, what could I say to him?

“So I have a question for you.” He said looking me right in the eye.

“Ok, shoot.”

“Not to scare you or anything but have you seen anything weird here at all?”

“I have only lived here like 24 hours. What can you---“ I stopped, there was something a little weird. The person I saw last night.

Bailee went wide eye and poked Andrew with here elbow in the side.

“Well, last night I did see something weird…but I don’t know.”

He looked at me more closely. He seemed to have a lot on his mind.

“Why is there something wrong?” I had to ask. They were really scaring me.

“Oh! No, sorry to scare you. I was just kidding.”

He turned and started to leave. Don’t go.

As if I said it aloud he turned around.

“Hey, I almost forgot! You want to hang out tomorrow?”

Bailee almost screamed! I could see her face turning bright red. Is she jealous? I thought. Andrew turned and looked at Bailee. He started to chuckle.

“Sounds fun, what you got planned?”

“Well I thought we might heed down to the mall, that’s if you want too.”

“Umm, who all is going to be there?”

“Well, just me, maybe my sister.”

“Oh I will be there!” Bailee said shouting. Wow, she must be in a sour mood. She turned and walked away down the street to her house. I hope she is ok. How old is she any ways?

“If it’s ok with your sister, I would love to come.”

“Ok sounds good. I will call you. Well, I guess this is good bye for now. I better make sure she is ok.”

“Ok, bye.”

He turned and ran after his sister. What got her in such a bad mood? She was fine a second ago. She just snapped.
